Former director of European equities sales trading at Barclays, Dennis McGuinness, has moved to a new position as a sales trader with Berenberg.
McGuinness left Barclays in February 2023 after almost 14 years with the company. He was formerly director of European equity trading at Citigroup, a role he held for 3.5 years, prior to which he was managing director of European equity trading at Deutsche Bank for nine years. Before that, he was with UBS as head of UK sales trading for eight years, starting with the bank in 1987.
Michael Berry, director of equity sales trading at Berenberg, confirmed the appointment to BEST EXECUTION.
McGuinness has joined the team to strengthen its UK/European execution platform.
