Pensions risk and investment management provider Cardano appointed Martine Snoek as group head of sustainability and Dennis van der Putten as chief sustainability Officer (CSO).
These appointments will replace Will Martindale and Ben Wilmot, who will leave Cardano to set up a sustainability consulting and analytics firm.
Snoek has been a consultant on Cardano’s sustainability strategy and will now lead the sustainability teams across the firm.
She has previously worked at Robeco, NN Investment Partners, and BlackRock, and has more than two decades of experience in the pensions and investment management industry.
van der Putten joined Cardano through the acquisition of ACTIAM and in the firm has previous been co-head of the Cardano Sustainability Group and director of Sustainability and Strategy.
He spent more than eight years at ACTIAM and has over 25 years of industry experience. In a statement,
Cardano said that the two appointments “reflect our commitment to integrating sustainability across the group” and reiterated that sustainable investment and a focus on the transition “leads to better financial outcomes for our clients and better outcomes for society and the environment”.
Martindale leaves Cardano after almost three years, while Wilmot spent nearly four years at the firm.
