AXA Investment Managers’ (AXA IM) head of market structure and strategy, Franck Noël, has left the firm, BEST EXECUTION can reveal.
While his next role is yet to be determined, Noël told BEST EXECUTION that he is interviewing with firms on both the buy side and sell side. Noël has been with AXA IM since 2019. The firm confirmed Noël’s departure.
Noël told BEST EXECUTION that his “diversified background” – time as an external auditor, 16 years in investment banking working in operations, project management and as chief operating officer at Société Générale, and seven years at AXA IM – will help him find his next challenge “and make it work”.
Looking at markets more broadly in 2024, Noël said the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead are difficult to anticipate.
“The market always surprises us. Few points are certain, however. There will be a focus on regulation and process adaptation (T+1 settlement reduction in the US, and beyond), liquidity will be key in this environment, as well as continuing innovation in AI and other technologies that streamline, secure and speed up our interactions with clients and providers,” he said.
