Matthew Stanton has been named managing director, head of equities sales trading, Americas at HSBC.
Stanton, who will be based in New York, most recently worked as a sales consultant for equity issuance platform Primary Portal.
Prior to that Stanton spent more than seven years at Barclays, as head of cash sales trading for EMEA, and as head of cash sales trading for the Americas.
Stanton also spent the best part of two decades at Goldman Sachs, starting out as a floor trader in 1997 before departing in 2015 as managing director: equities sales trading, EMEA.
