Tech-enabled liquidity hub Marex has appointed Rob Irvin as chief financial officer. He replaces Paolo Tonucci, who will remain with the group as chief strategist and CEO of the capital markets business.
Irvin joins Marex following a decade-long career at HSBC, where he was most recently the Global CFO for HSBC’s private bank.
Prior to this, he spent over five years as CFO of HSBC’s investment bank, advising on the overall strategy of the investment bank.
He is also a qualified chartered accountant, having spent time in Deloitte’s transaction services division, where he focused on both financial and operational due diligence on major capital markets transactions.
Irvin will report to Marex CEO Ian Lowitt and, subject to regulatory approval, will join the Marex board of directors.
