HSBC Asset Management (HSBC AM) appointed Marco Montanari as Global Capability Head, ETF & Indexing, effective January 11th, 2022, subject to regulatory approval, according to a statement. Based in Hong Kong, Marco reports to Guillaume Rabault, Chief Investment Officer, Quant Equities.
In this newly created role, Marco will work closely with the sales and investment teams to define and build a coherent product and service offering that reflects the strategic importance of passive to HSBC AM amidst a rapidly expanding market.
Marco has over 20 years of experience in the industry.
Marc Franklin joins Manulife Investment Management as a managing director and senior portfolio manager, asset allocation, according to a statement, reporting to senior managing director and Asia head of asset allocation Luke Browne.
Based in Hong Kong, Franklin will focus on the management of cross-asset class portfolios and tailored solutions including benchmark relative, peer relative, risk managed and total return strategies.
Franklin has 14 years of investment industry experience, most recently with NN Investment Partners in the Netherlands where he was its head of flexible multi-asset.
Cynthia Lai joins Bank of Singapore as executive director and head of its managed investments advisory team, according to a statement.
Prior to joining Bank of Singapore, Cynthia worked as an executive director in funds for over four years. She also has almost a decade of experience working as the head of fund performance analysis for Citibank.
Kerry Rooks has joined the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) as Group Chief People Officer, according to a statement.
In her new role, Kerry will be responsible for the Human Resources function across HKEX Group, leading a team of HR professionals in Hong Kong, Mainland China and internationally.
Prior to joining HKEX, Kerry was the Chief Human Resources Officer for Prudential Hong Kong where she had a 13-year tenure in the insurance firm.
