Markets Media is pleased to announce the appointment of Laurie McAughtry as managing editor of Best Execution Magazine, with former editor, Lynn Strongin Dodds, moving to a new role at Markets Media, working across multiple titles. In addition, a new reporter for the Markets Media news desk will be announced later this week, working across titles.

Markets Media has expanded rapidly over the past five years, with the acquisition of Best Execution, The DESK and DerivSource. The firm has consistently increased revenue and audience numbers over this period, as it delivers need-to-know market intelligence to capital markets professionals. This significant expansion of the editorial team will allow the firm to support greater volumes of information to the front, middle and back offices of buy- and sell-side institutions.

McAughtry was formerly the editor of The TRADE, where she made an enormous impact within the trading community, until leaving in April 2023. She has decades of experience in markets, investment and trading titles and a fantastic professional network.

Strongin-Dodds has been the editor of Best Execution since its launch in 2008, and will now focus on content delivery for the growing ‘Sustainability’ brand and the Women in Finance initiative within the firm, as well as working across multiple titles to support the groups’ broader editorial output.
