Tourmaline Partners has opened a new European listed equity derivatives trading desk, located in London.
Tourmaline CEO, Aaron Hantman, told BEST EXECUTION that Tourmaline has set-up a European-based listed equity derivatives business to meet client demand, as well as to complement its US-based derivatives trading business which handled more than 25 million contracts this past year.
Hantman added: “This new offering is also driven by industry-wide growth in global investing and greater demand for both outsourced and supplemental expertise in trading offshore markets and listed equity options, index options, and futures in the region. We are excited to offer this enhanced range of services to our valued clients.”
The new European listed equity derivatives trading desk team will assist clients with execution, price discovery, and value-added services for European listed single stock, sector and index futures, and options, the firm said in a social media post announcing the launch.
The new desk will be covering a wide range of markets and exchanges including: Eurex (Germany/Switzerland); Euronext (France, Netherlands); ICE (UK); IDEM (Italy); MEFF (Spain); and Scandinavian markets.
