Voya Investment Management is set to lose senior quantitative trader and current head of market structure and trading analytics Enrico Cacciatore, BEST EXECUTION can reveal – just days after CEO Christine Hurtsellers also announced her departure.
Cacciatore, who has been with the New York-based asset manager for almost 10 years, is to depart for new pastures in the fintech space, he told BEST EXECUTION today
“Enrico Cacciatore, senior equity trader, will leave Voya in March,” the firm confirmed to Best Execution. “Enrico’s trading responsibilities will be absorbed by other members of the trading team.”
With roots reaching back to 1743, Voya has a current AUM of around US$303bn. Cacciatore’s departure is the most recent in a series of senior shake-ups, with CEO Christine Hurtsellers also announcing her intention to retire last week. She will be succeeded by Matt Toms, global chief investment officer, who will report to Heather Lavallee, CEO of parent company Voya Financial.
Eric Stein, formerly CIO of fixed income at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, also joins Voya IM as CIO, fixed income, reporting to Toms.
