Zeus Capital has appointed Steve Asfour and James Revell to the firm’s market making team.
Asfour joins Zeus as co-head of market making while Revell joins as director. The pair join Zeus from Cavendish, formerly finnCap.
Asfour spent more than a decade at finnCap, initially as deputy head of market making before spending five-and-a-half years as head of market making, and was responsible for establishing the market making desk, growing it to 5 market makers. Prior to finnCap, Asfour was head of sales trading and market maker at Fox-Davies Capital for two years. Asfour also spent a decade as a sales trader at a number of brokers.
Revell spent nearly eight years at finnCap, working his way up to deputy head of market making. Zeus said Revell has strong client relationships across the small and mid-cap universe.
Zeus co-CEO, Stuart Andrews, said, “The provision of liquidity in the shares of our corporate clients and other quoted companies has been a key part of Zeus’ client proposition since the acquisition of Arden.”
“Steve and James were integral to building finnCap’s market making desk and its relationships with the City’s main retail trading platforms and dealing desks over a number of years. I am looking forward to continuing to build out Zeus’ market making operation with them,” Andrews added.
